Packham's Triumph (aka Packhams) is a large knobbly pear that ripens to golden. It is a wonderful bottling pear, and is used for desserts, up-side-down cake, fruit sponge or eating. It was first grown by Sam Packham in Australian in 1896. It is a mid-season pear. We pick it in early-mid March. It is best picked green and firm, and ripened in a box or fruit bowl.
